[review] Without Warning-Time is Running Out
Finnish metal band Without Warning are back with a brand new single–a modern electro-metal twist on Muse's ‘Time is Running Out’. WW’s style complements Muse's own discography and the four-piece have certainly captured the essence of Muse, coupled with an Evanescence-like vibe. Fronted by vocalist Michaela 'Micha' Tuomenoksa, Without Warning stays true to the original’s overall message via their vocalist Micha’s style and sound (Matt Bellamy's vocal style is often falsetto by default). With a flurry of rhythmic guitar and hammering bass and drums, WW churned out an electro-metal mimicry and Micha provided the female 'Finnishing' touches with at times captivating vocals. It would be a great thing to see WW at a festival sometime, with their evidently solid cohesion as a band aided by bassist Aleksi Rintala, guitarist Juuso Javanainen and drummer Lauri Tuomenoksa.
No word on an official music video for this single yet, however a cool visualiser is up on their official YouTube channel:
Kudos to bassist Aleksi Rintala who arranged, produced, mixed and mastered the recording of this take on a Muse classic.
