Artist: Ter Ziele

Album: Embodiment of Death

Label: Tartarus Records

Release Date: 28 February 2025

Summary: Doom-drenched despair with post-black metal intensity.

from Ter Ziele’s official Youtube Channel.

"When we, as humans, accept subjection to suffering, resignation in life inevitably follows."

With a passion for heavy, heart-wrenching music, Ter Ziele came together at the end of 2020 to create their own distinctive take on the doom genre. Through crushing, desolate riffs, fragile melodies, and poignant vocals, the band pushes the boundaries of doom metal, while incorporating elements of post-black metal for a sound that's both intense and introspective.

After releasing two singles in 2022 and playing numerous shows—domestic and international, including festivals such as Into The Grave, Soulcrusher, Into The Void, and Roadburn Offroad—Ter Ziele has made an intense and powerful impression on the metal community. Their unique sound continues to connect deeply with audiences, offering a haunting journey into darkness.

Their debut album, Embodiment of Death, is the culmination of countless revisions and refinements of the vision Ter Ziele initially set out to create. Following a successful collaboration with Stijn van Gestel, it was decided he would oversee production and mixing, with JB van der Wal (Gaerea, Herder, Ortega, Verwoed) handling the mastering. Supported by Tartarus Records, the highly anticipated album was released February 2025.

Prepare to journey into the depths of anguish and introspection, as the album weaves together a profound emotional experience that immerses you in a haunting exploration of the human condition. This debut album invites you to delve into the shadows of your own psyche, leaving you transformed by the visceral passage through darkness and desperation.

Embodiment of Death will be released on vinyl, cassette, and digital formats through Tartarus Records.

Artist: Novarupta

Album: Astral Sands

Label: Suicide Records

Release Date: 14 February 2025

Summary: A conceptual, genre-defying monolith of heaviness.

It all began with a fire—disillusioned, yet burning bright. Novarupta was conceived not just as a band, but as a collective concept, exploring the elements that form the essence of life.

In 2019, Disillusioned Fire marked the project's bold debut, but it was only the start of a transformative journey. In 2020, Marine Snow followed, earning the prestigious Manifestgalan Award for "Metal of the Year."

By 2022, Novarupta ventured further into experimental territory with Carrion Movements, the third installment. Featuring just two instrumental tracks spanning 36 minutes, it was lauded by critics for its audacious and immersive approach.

Now, after a long and challenging creative process, the fourth and final chapter arrives. On February 14th, 2025, Astral Sands will complete the tetralogy, closing a monumental chapter in modern metal.

Each album in this series represents a concept tied to the elements, standing alone as a unique artistic statement while also contributing to a larger, cohesive narrative. Together, these four albums form an elemental journey, culminating with Astral Sands.

The constants driving Novarupta have been Alex Stjernfeldt and Arjen Kunnen, with steadfast support from Roger Andersson of Suicide Records. True to its collective vision, Novarupta collaborated with different vocalists for each song, ensuring every track stood as a singular experience—more than music, it is an evolving art project.

As the final chapter nears, Novarupta invites listeners to witness the completion of a bold, transformative journey that redefines the boundaries of conceptual metal.
