Band: VOKODLOK
Album: The Egregious Being
Country: Romania
Genre: Black Metal
Release date: March 14th, 2025

Hearing the call of damnation, four rebellious spirits, GhiauR, Strigoi, Blestemat and Grosan, influenced by unholy music, joined the dark forces to be a part of the underground and formed the band VOKODLOK in the beginning of year 2000. Soon after Freak took over the drums, the band released the demo Unchain the Wolf, which contains five tracks of aggressive Black Metal, inspired from the dark side of humanity and representing a hybrid between apocalyptic thoughts and soul tortures.

In 2003 the band released the album Mass Murder Genesis, containing 10 tracks that spread ideas of crime through the ways of Black Metal, standing in the line of anti-christianity, combining malefic lyrics and disgust towards the forced religions with devilish blast rhythms and raw sounds. Mass Murder Genesis was promoted internationally and followed by intense years of live appearances in Eastern European countries, along bands like Vader, Hecate Enthroned, Mystic Circle, Cirith Gorgor, Catamenia.

Many years later the EP Oracle’s Fury was released in 2020. Inspired by ancient Greek philosophy and human feelings, the lyrical story takes the listener through the primordial aspects of fear and faith.

Band: Bruno Karnel
Album: Villa Solitude
Country: France
Genre: Post-Rock, Pop, Prog, Post-Punk, Metal
Label: Bitume Productions
Release date: March 14th, 2025

French multi-instrumentalist Bruno Karnel has set March 14th, 2025, as the international release date for his new full-length album, Villa Solitude, to be released via Bitume Productions.

Urban and atmospheric, the music of French multi-instrumentalist Bruno Karnel borrows from various musical currents to create a highly personal style: post-rock, pop, prog, post-punk, metal...

In the footsteps of Las Ilusiones (2021) and Hic sunt dracones (2023), third album Villa Solitude features eight tracks oscillating between melancholy and hope. Imaginary towns ('Leaving Diaspar'), dystopian urban centers ('Okhta-Tsentr') or cities ravaged by war ('Candlelight City') intersect in this musical travel diary where solitude is only apparent: for an acute ear, there is always a presence, lurking in the shadows of the notes - reassuring or threatening.

More instrumental and vintage than on its two predecessors, BK's music today is heavily influenced by the underground scenes of Central and Eastern Europe: Kauan, A Noend of Mine, Tabór or even Molchat Doma ('Vndadiem').

Like the first two albums, Villa Solitude was recorded and mixed by Florent Morel at Marg'Sound Studio. Thomas 'Plec' Johansson (Pixie Ninja, Molesome, Soilwork...) was in charge of the mastering. The album also benefits from the powerful and precise striking of drummer Basile Combes (Dislimn), and a host of guests, including Matthieu Gajewski (ex-Master Crow) on bass on three tracks, as well as Artem Litovchenko (Thy Catafalque, Sheetel, Abstrakt Lake...) or Polina Faustova (Hans Zimmer) on cello.

The first single, ‘Heliopolis’, is now streaming on all platforms: https://orfeolab.lnk.to/Heliopolis

Release date: March 14, 2025

German band PLASMAJET is set to unleash their highly anticipated second album, Solastalgia, marking a bold new chapter in their sonic journey. Formed in Giessen in 2014, the band has evolved through lineup changes and diverse musical explorations, blending metal, stoner rock, blues, and hard rock into an earthy yet powerful sound.

Recorded during the winter months of 2023/2024, Solastalgia captures the weight of loss and displacement—a feeling encapsulated in its title. The album’s themes explore the emotional impact of environmental and societal change, inviting listeners to escape into an "Interstellar Haze" and experience the catharsis of transformation through a rich mix of psychedelic textures, thunderous riffs, and heartfelt melodies.

The creative process behind Solastalgia was fueled by a refreshed lineup, with new members Jannik on guitar and John on drums injecting renewed energy and vision into the project. Mixed and mastered by Martin Giemza, guitarist of German power metal veterans Rebellion, the record boasts a sonic clarity that complements its raw intensity.
