[Music Mondays] Mon 3rd Feb, 2025.
Can you seriously believe we’re already a few days into February 2025? Absolutely nuts.
What else is nuts is the sheer volume of quality Heavy News releases flooding to the inbox-pyre, ready to be alighted unto the world. That’s right - whilst everything else around us is literally and metaphorically burning, the Gods of music bestow innumerable blessings on us mere mortal listeners!
HEAVY NEWS - MUSIC NEWS + CONTENT AT ISC:
Mephitic Corpse drop the filthy, nasty, brutal death-grind mincer ‘Sickness Against Sickness’, and this bad-boy sure lives up to it’s namesake! Check out our news regarding this nasty LP right here.
Behemoth keep their time-honoured tradition of blackened death metal occultic controversy alive after 34 years, continuing with the release of news of latest burner The Shit Ov God. We’ve got the title track video/stream links, album preorder info and all the other goodies you’ll need right over here!
In case you missed it - Mal dropped an inspiring and positive Riff (article) with some mental health strategies as they relate to a number of popular/alternative titles. He even threw in a playlist to boot - you can check both of those out right over here, fam!
I also was lucky enough to get a chance to speak to Robert Erikkson, long-term drummer of Sweden’s seminal hard-rock champions in The Hellacopters! You can check out both the full podcast interview and all the important links, details and order links for unspeakably-catchy and anthemic new opus Overdriver at this link!
There’s even more Heavy News from the week prior, including release details for hard-rockers Gotthard, UK sludge-rock outfit Slund and many more!
Be sure to peep them all over at either the Main Blog or via our Music /Heavy News categories.
From The Legion:
We’re not the only ones who’ve been belt-feeding a barrage of blog posts into the Internet-Wilds, it seems!
In my… relative absence whilst I’m trying to tie up the remainder of the mess that is rebirthing an entire website here, the Musolegion admin lads, and our passionate community on Facebook, Discord etc, have contributed a whole slew of recent goodies as well. I’m proud to watch the blogs’ growth in action, with plenty of additional content recently!
For Instance:
Joseph from our Admin Team has put out a review of UK melodic-metallers Sorceress of Sin’s latest LP in Ennea;
Recent newcomer to our Admin Team, Ash Gray, has provided his review of the mind-blowing gig that was Batushka’s decimation of Max Watts, Melbourne in 2024 alongside supports Mammon’s Throne and Hybrid Nightmares;
A whole bunch of Icelandic artists to check out via our regular, nation-based Musolegion Recommends feature from the community writ large;
And yet another massive Musolegion Recommends thread - this time from Australia’s near-neighbours in the isles of Japan;
and stuff it - let’s make this massive rotation a trifecta by including a huge Central Asia Recommends thread as well!
